5. What We Ask of You (Confidentiality)
By engaging with our tutoring services, you will have access to information of tutors, including tutors' names, and contact details.
- We ask that students and parents agree to respect the confidentiality of all lesson content and the Tutor, and not to share Tutor details without explicit permission.
- We also reiterate that recording, screenshotting, or distributing any part of a lesson without prior permission from the Tutor is prohibited.
6. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Our tutors are based in China and student data may be accessible from China. Chinese privacy law differs from Australian law. While our tutors strive to maintain strictest confidentiality, students and parents understand that:
- Overseas tutors are subject to Chinese privacy law, not Australian law
- The Business will not be held accountable under the Privacy Act for breaches of privacy outside of Australia
- In the case that a privacy breach occurs outside of Australia, the affected individuals will not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act
